First, you have to make sure you have a blank DVD or CD for System Repair Disc though this option is available in Windows also 10 and 8 only or a 256MB or above USB drive for Windows 7 or 8 Data Recovery Services Drive.

Click the correct drive letter in the USB flash drive window. Then click Next. Then click create that is if your Data Recovery Services drive is blank. The copy process will start after the drive has been formatted. After the copying process has finished click finish. 

  • Now test if your computer can boot from the Recovery Drive.

  • In Windows 8, open the control panel, search for recovery, click Windows 7 File Recovery. 

In Windows 10, open the control panel, search for backup, click windows 7 Backup and Restore or you can press the windows key plus R, type sdclt.exe and then press Enter key. Click Create a system repair disc. Select the correct drive and click Create disc. This will take a few minutes. After the whole process is finished, label the disc as directed and click Close.
